Rowena Goldman and Susan Osman’s screen-writing and film producing partnership spans many years. Susan was a BBC television reporter/presenter and Rowena a BBC producer/director. Their passion to see more films with leading female protagonists led them to co-found Nick O’Time Films. Together they have written stories with women in central roles and their mission is to promote women in all aspects of the film industry. They are proud to have been on the Script Factory’s New Writers Talent list with it’s aim to champion screenwriters and their desire to create fresh and exciting stories for our screens. They are both members of the Writers Guild of Great Britain.
Rowena Goldman is an award-winning producer/director and a published author. Her television career covers entertainment, news, live shows and documentaries for the BBC, Channel 4 and ITV.
She received a BAFTA Award in the Interactive Category for Technical Innovation for BBC Radio 4 Drama ‘The Dark House’. She is a Development Executive and Partnerships Consultant for digital start-ups in the creative sector. Rowena was a member of the Board of the regional film agency Screen East for five years. Her writing credits include ‘The Mediterranean Health Diet’, published by Hodder Headline, and co-librettist/lyricist of the stage musicals ‘Italian Idol’ produced at the Old Fire Station in Oxford, and ‘Up is There’ performed in Cabaret in London. Her short story ‘Man Farm’ was short-listed for NYC Midnight’s Short Story Challenge. She has written for ‘Time Out’, ‘The First Post’, ‘Drama Quarterly’ and ‘The Scotsman’.
Susan Osman is an award-winning television anchor and host, and a well-known face and voice worldwide. She is an experienced broadcaster across TV and Radio in news, current affairs, consumer affairs and business news.
Susan has worked with all the major UK networks including the BBC, ITV, ITN, Channel 4, and Sky. She spent three years at China Radio International (CRI) Beijing, where she was the host and editor of the daily live news and current affairs radio programme ‘The Beijing Hour’. She is visiting Professor of Communication and Leadership at the Communication University of China, and author of the book ‘Flirting with the Dragon’ which is a personal account of her time living and working in Beijing. Susan is visiting Voice Coach at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York, host of the podcast ‘Been There, Done That‘ and a moderator for BAFTA New York.
